Jennifer Eblin was born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia. She stayed local and attended Virginia Tech and then went on to Kent State University to earn her Master’s degree in library science. She has always had an interest in health, medicine, history, and politics, and these themes come up in all of her books. During her professional career, she has written over 2.5 million words.
Jennifer started writing thanks to a challenge put on by her book club. She has not been able to stop since then. Jennifer is known for her deep research when writing books. She has spent time shadowing doctors and midwives, and she has gone into the Boston Library to talk to scholars and examine rare texts. She is known for her opinion pieces in newspapers as she is for showing up at protests, rallies, and political events.
When she is not working at a library or writing, Jennifer loves to hike. She finds that nature calms her down and allows her to find peace. She hopes to hike in all 50 states one day and has even talked about taking on the Appalachian Trail. She lives in northern Virginia with her husband and dog.
