Raymond Brown was born in 1956. He grew up in a small town in Illinois and went on to get a B.A. degree at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He moved on to become an educator and attended Hampton University, where he earned both his M.Ed. and Ph.D. degrees. He worked with various educational organizations for a short period and later became an adjunct professor at several colleges throughout the country, including Chattahoochee Technical College, National African American AA/ASU, Hampton Institute, and North Carolina Central University. He retired from teaching software courses about nine years ago before and was chosen as president of ITP Global Education Services.
Raymond Brown is a very well-respected individual. He has a history of working with many private and public entities, such as Apple Inc., the NASA Langley Research Center, and Ball State University. He has served on numerous boards of directors, such as the Sentence Mining Corporation and several other startups, some of which have failed while others have succeeded, which is why his resume is so varied. He has received many accolades over the years, including being named a Microsoft Certified Professional and holding the prestigious title of Microsoft Certified Master.
Brown was an early adopter of technology and took part in the first round of Windows System Development back when there were only three employees within the company. He has since been considered one of the founders of the software industry, being responsible for creating many different products throughout his career. He is now more focused on civic projects than business ventures.
